The MBTI “type” is a dated and crude method of assessing personality that lacks validity testing and empirical support and is generally not used by therapists, espcially similar Jungian tests. When assessing personality, I prefer the NEO-PI-R. With that test, my therapist rated me as normal in most traits but lacking a certain degree of empathy when compared to most people. I have a high level of imagination as well as logic and investigation. Because of this, I took an intelligence test and my scores were above average.
